How we run our classes at TDC

We truly believe that learning to dance is more than just learning dance steps. It's great exercise for both the brain and body and teaches discipline, resilience, builds confidence and work ethic - all important life skills to develop. Our classes run all year long and we welcome enrolments all year long as well.

  • We run ONE season that is 46 weeks long. {February 2 - December 19, 2026}

  • The 46 weeks run consecutively without any breaks. This means we run our regular class schedule during the school holidays.

  • The studio is closed on public holidays.

  • If your child misses a class they can book a make-up class for any style class in their age/school year group within the same session it was missed. {Dependent on your membership tier}

  • Pricing is based on how many classes per week the student attends and the class level. The more classes they attend the lower the per-class rate gets.

  • You can withdraw from any class at any time with 4 weeks' written notice.

Enrolling After June 1st, 2026.

We accept new students all year long, but for students who enrol in classes after June 1st, there are some studio events that you won't be eligible to participate in.

Our Recital (end of year show) is held in November/December each year. It is optional for students to participate in the show however the cut off date to participate is the beginning of June each year. This is mainly due to costume ordering requirements and students having enough time to commit to learning choreography and attending classes to be well prepared to perform on stage. We want our students to do their best on stage and feel a sense of accomplishment and we realise that takes time in and outside of class. We also don't want to overwhelm new students with having to learn not only steps and techniques but lots of choreography as well, we want to provide a supportive environment for our new students who arrive in the later part of the year.

We encourage all new students to attend the show and watch it so they can see what it's all about and look forward to participating in the next show the following year.
